The truth about the 'Truth Commission'

This is what we need a ‘truth commission’ being promoted by Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich. They want to find out the who, what, why and when of harsh interrogations and warrantless surveillance programs, and probe White House involvement in politically motivated hiring’s and firings in Bush's Justice Department. I am no longer interested in who did what in furtherance of their cause from bygone days. All I see is more tax payer money going down the toilet while our august leaders jockey about and file suit to make themselves look good and their opponents look bad. There is no good purpose for our representatives to waste time and money on this crap.
Here’s the reason I have really had it with this crap. It’s not a big deal that the infants in DC are whacking each other with their sandbox shovels, that’s tradition, I hope they bleed. But we all know crap runs down hill and this undignified kick, spit and scratch brawl is the example set by the highest in the land for centuries. Now every government institution, from federal to municipal, has no hesitation to sue any other government institution. So the water board sues the environmental department and federal land use division. The city sues the state to get a street permit. The bay commission sues the coast guard for inadequate protections. My right foot is suing my left foot and ankle for copy write infringements whenever I put on a matching pair of socks. My hands have to take time off to testify.
I just thought, naively I guess, that all these elected officials and entrenched bureaucrats where supposed to spend their time, energy and our money on the welfare of our citizens.
I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore; I'm gonna sue.

  1. Who are you going to sue?

  2. Susan, myself of course. Or maybe I'll just sue all three, me, myself and I.
