Big Oil Can Survive

I came across a seed today that needs to be planted right now. Basically the notion is to stop making gas and similar products out of petroleum. Oh no! The oil industry screams, not this cockamamie crap again. We have dealt with this already, the legal fees, corporate spies and hit men cost us a fortune, well, it cost the consumers a fortune. Just calm down big oil guy, there’s a plan, a very good plan that won’t put you into the unemployment line.

Now listen up because I don’t like repeating myself, unless you have a stadium full of corporate oil executives. In that case have your people call my people. You'll need to start R & D on producing building and other materials from petroleum. Keep on track with the clean fuel for vehicles production so you can phase out gasoline production as the environmentally friendly cars and trucks take to the road. So without skipping a heart beat you can phase in new building and other materials to sell. These ‘plastic’ building frames and walls and just about anything a contractor may need can be provided by the new, retooled, oil refineries and can halt the production of stinky, polluting, outdated fuel products.

The best part is that our all American oil industry will no longer have to squelch new, effective, and clean by-product solutions for the world to enjoy. The oil industry could actually become patriotic again, could actually begin to do the right thing again and could actually begin to live up to their absurd; they’re not fooling anyone, fantasy commercials. They could actually sell superior building products then wood thereby saving our forests to produce more oxygen, with a better price to the consumer; all while taking billions of tons of choking, global warming pollutants off the market.

It’s time for the oil industries to stop terrorizing the brilliant, new nonpolluting energy products. Cutting off their funding with oil ecomomic clout, and paying off top men in the fight against pollution is no longer necessary. The oil industry can have a future in the new century; we can still use billions of barrels of crude. New, space age, plastics can make cars, trucks, boats, trains, buildings and bridges, all of these things without stinking up the place.
