The Seven Deadliest
I have a theory about those who rise to the top, other than them being full of hot air. They all possess at least one of the Seven Deadly Sins. The more sins they have the higher they will rise. Here’s the list in case you forgot; Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and the last but most deadly, Pride. Can you match which sin goes with which captain of democracy?

Obama Man
Our fearless leader Obama Man has struck another blow in order to safe guard our tax payer billion dollar bailout baby. Obama Man has restricted the salaries of our common crooks on Wall St. to the mere pittance of half a million bucks a year. Yes, now we have those Wall St. rascals under control. All we need to do is monitor the menaces of money to make sure they follow our rules, for once. Of course our rules don’t include hiring your wife for an additional half a mil. How about those perks? We don’t need no stinking watch dogs for millions of dollars worth of perks buried in the books; the C.E.O.’s will police themselves, they promised.
Now that all the golden parachute winners have flown the coop we can be sure that those to follow in their footsteps will want their unfair piece of the pie too. But they better watch out, one false step and they may have their hand slapped or even worse, have to go to a Federal country club for a month.
But its no time to be complacent, we still need monitors to watch the monitors and monitors to watch the monitors monitor etc etc.. ad nausea….

Lip Sink
I do not understand the purist attitude about lip syncing. I mean, wake up folks it’s 2009. The standard commercial event needs to run without a glitch. Millions of dollars are being spent on the event and it must run smoothly to assure investors money worth. Besides, this isn’t Milli Vanilli whose lip syncing was a corruption of music, what the audience hears is the actual artist singing at their best. The quality of sound reproduction today stands up to the task of giving us the best sound. Is that not what we wish to hear? Who can ask for more than the best?
